The
Community Aid Pakistan
(ComAid) is an initiative of Imperial
College of Business Studies (ICBS) , Lahore students to support
the community. Each trimester, a three to five person student group
manages all the operational aspects of ComAid, with ICBS faculty member
serving as a patron. ComAid
is an integral part of the Leadership
and Community Development
Program at ICBS.
The
primary objective of ComAid
is to generate support and assistance to schools and health institutions
in low income neighborhoods and rural areas. This is done by matching
the ones who need help with those desiring to help. In the first stage,
the focus is on institutions in and around Lahore. ComAid
identifies and contacts school or institution needing help and get information
on where help is needed from each, which is then posted on this site
along with the contact and other relevant details. The individuals or
organizations desiring to help could either contact the institute directly
or through ComAid.
ComAid
is a non-profit, student managed community service and it charges no
fee for its services.
